Job Title: Dietary Aide
Location: Long-Term Care Facility
Reports To: Dietary Supervisor

Job Overview:

We are looking for a Dietary Aide to assist in meal preparation, food safety, and nutrition management for our long-term care residents. This role will support the dietary team in ensuring residents receive safe, nutritious meals that meet their specific dietary needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with meal prep and serving according to residents' dietary needs.
• Follow food safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness.
• Help manage nutrition plans and modify meals based on individual needs.
• Educate residents on healthy eating and menu options.
• Assist with inventory and report shortages.
• Collaborate with dietary and nursing staff to meet residents needs.

Qualifications:

• Education: Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous dietary or food service experience preferred.
• Knowledge: Food safety, basic nutrition, and special dietary needs.
• Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team.
• Certifications: Food Handlers Certificate (or willing to obtain).
