Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 4:00/4:30 PM
Locations: Hamilton, Oakville, St. Catharines, ON
Note: Flexibility to travel between clinic locations is required.
Compensation:
Hourly Salary Range: $35.00 $40.00 CAD, based on experience and qualifications
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Fluoroscopy Nurse to support our high-volume Pain Management Clinics across multiple locations in Ontario. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in dynamic clinical environments and are comfortable traveling between clinic locations in Hamilton, Oakville, and St. Catharines.
You will work directly with pain management physicians during fluoroscopy-guided procedures, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and procedural efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Procedure:
- Assess patients and review medical history
- Provide pre-procedure education and obtain informed consent
- Assist in preparing patients for procedures
During Procedure:
- Support physicians with patient positioning and equipment
- Administer medications and monitor vital signs
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety and sterile technique protocols
Post-Procedure:
- Monitor patients during recovery and provide discharge instructions
- Educate patients on aftercare and follow-up requirements
Documentation & Safety:
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR
- Adhere to infection control and clinical safety standards
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with current, unrestricted license in Ontario
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in fluoroscopy, radiology, or procedural settings
- Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, medication administration, and vital sign monitoring
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage patient anxiety or discomfort
- Familiarity with EMR systems and radiation safety standardsPhysical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods
- Capable of assisting with patient positioning during proceduresWork Environment:
You will work in a busy outpatient pain management clinic, collaborating with physicians, radiologists, and healthcare staff in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
