HealthOPM staffing agency is recruiting an Italian-speaking Personal Support Worker (PSW) for casual shifts in Burlington, Ontario. We are looking for compassionate and dependable PSWs who can communicate in Italian and provide quality, resident-centred care to older adults.

The Role

• Assist residents with bathing, personal care, dressing, grooming and activities of daily living.
• Support mobility, transfers, repositioning and mealtime needs.
• Communicate with Italian-speaking residents to support their comfort and daily care needs.
• Observe and report changes in residents' conditions to the nursing team.
• Follow resident care plans, infection-control practices and safety procedures.
• Provide respectful, compassionate and person-centred care.

Requirements

• Recognized Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate.
• Ability to speak and communicate effectively in Italian.
• Previous long-term care, retirement home or senior-care experience preferred.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification, as required.
• Vulnerable Sector Check and required health/immunization documentation.
• Reliable transportation to Burlington.
• Flexible availability to pick up casual shifts.
• Ability to attend facility orientation and start as soon as possible.
