About the Opportunity

You will support a community-based mental health and addictions organization providing 24/7 care across residential group homes, treatment programs, and supported living environments. Clients may have complex mental health needs, addictions, and dual diagnoses and require consistent, hands-on support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support clients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, meals, and daily routines
  • Assist with medication prompting and monitoring
  • Build therapeutic relationships and support individual recovery goals
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment
  • Respond to crisis situations and provide de-escalation support when required
  • Complete documentation and communicate effectively with care teams

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma in DSW, SSW, CYW, Addictions & Mental Health, or a related field
  • Experience in mental health, addictions, or residential care preferred
  • Valid CPR/First Aid certification
  • Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the past year
  • TB test completed within the past 6 months
  • Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle preferred

Additional Details

  • Pay Rate: $23/hour
  • Full-time and part-time contract opportunities
  • Start: ASAP
  • Anticipated assignment duration: 4–6 weeks, with potential for extension
  • 8-hour and 12-hour shifts available
  • Days, evenings, and nights
  • Accommodation support available for select assignments
  • Candidates commuting to or temporarily relocating to the area are welcome
