Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Travel Contract | Accommodation Provided

Assignment locations: British Columbia — Gibsons (Sunshine Coast)

Pay: $33+ per hour (subject to experience)

Employment: Travel contract / November 13–December 8, 2026

Shifts: Combination of 8- and 12-hour shifts; mornings, evenings and nights

About the Opportunity

HealthOPM is recruiting BC-registered Licensed Practical Nurses for a Good Samaritan short-term seniors’ care contract in Gibsons, BC. Nurses based in Vancouver and elsewhere in BC who are willing to travel are encouraged to apply. We also welcome interest in future Good Samaritan assignments across British Columbia.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centred nursing care, medication administration and clinical monitoring within LPN scope of practice.

• Complete assessments, maintain accurate documentation and report changes in residents’ conditions.

• Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams to support resident safety and continuity of care.

Requirements

• Active British Columbia Licensed Practical Nurse registration in good standing.

• Experience in long-term care, continuing care, assisted living or seniors’ care preferred.

• Current CPR/BLS and ability to complete required background, reference and health-document screening.

• Availability for the assignment dates and shifts accepted; ability to travel to the actual worksite where required.

• Previous Good Samaritan experience is an asset.

Travel & Accommodation

Accommodation is provided for the Gibsons assignment, with arrangements confirmed before deployment. Under the Good Samaritan agreement, eligible mileage may be reimbursed at $0.50/km for travel over 50 km, and accommodation reimbursement is capped at $2,000 per month per worker. Travel reimbursement and individual arrangements require confirmation before acceptance.
