Housekeeper Jobs – Private Homes | Ottawa, Ontario

Position Summary

HealthOPM is currently recruiting Housekeepers to provide in-home cleaning support for private residences throughout Ottawa and surrounding areas. This role is well-suited for individuals who are organized, dependable, and comfortable working independently across multiple client locations.

Preference will be given to candidates who have access to a vehicle and are available to work within reasonable distance of the following general Ottawa areas:

• Central Ottawa

• West Ottawa (including Hintonburg / Little Italy area)

• East Ottawa / Orléans

Exact residence within these neighbourhoods is not required.

Core Duties

• Perform routine household cleaning (dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping)

• Clean and maintain kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and shared spaces

• Assist with laundry tasks as needed

• Disinfect high-touch surfaces

• Support light errands or grocery runs when required

• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns

• Keep cleaning tools and supplies organized

• Follow established cleanliness and safety standards

Candidate Requirements

• Reside in Ottawa, Ontario

• Access to a reliable vehicle strongly preferred

• Valid drivers licence

• Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) within 6 months or willingness to obtain

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

• Physically able to complete housekeeping tasks

• Professional, punctual, and trustworthy

• Previous residential cleaning or housekeeping experience is an asset
