Assignment Location: Victoria, BC – Correctional Health Setting
Pay: $50.00–$52.00/hour
Term: September 28, 2026 – January 31, 2027
HealthOPM is recruiting an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a temporary assignment within a correctional health setting in Victoria, BC. This role combines primary, urgent/emergency, mental health and substance-use care and is best suited to an RN with strong acute care and mental health experience.
The Assignment
Preferred start: September 28, 2026, with commitment through January 31, 2027
RN shifts: 6:00 AM–4:54 PM or 12:06 PM–11:00 PM
No overnight shifts; overtime opportunities may be available
Full-term availability is preferred; ability to cover the December and January holiday period is required
Correctional healthcare experience is preferred
Travel Support
Approved mileage to the assignment and return home reimbursed at $0.61/km; daily commute mileage is not reimbursable
Travel time reimbursed at $40.00/hour, up to 7.5 hours each way to and from the assignment
Up to $500/month, prorated, toward a car rental may be considered
Other transportation expenses are subject to prior approval and applicable reimbursement rules
Requirements
Current BCCNM registration as a Registered Nurse
Strong acute care and mental health experience
Current BCLS certification
Canadian Police Information Check with Vulnerable Persons Check (CPIC-VS) required
Intermediate OFA (OFA2) preferred and may be required
