These permanent residential positions, located in Toronto, include both overnight full-time roles and weekend part-time shifts, offering hourly wages between $21.15 and $24.63, or annual salaries ranging from $43,984 to $51,220, depending on schedule and experience.
In this role, you will provide overnight or weekend supervision, emotional support, and crisis intervention within a trauma-informed live-in treatment environment for female youth ages 1217 who have experienced sexual exploitation or trafficking.
About the Program
HealthOPM is recruiting on behalf of a Toronto-based non-profit agency operating a specialized 24/7 residential treatment program for youth who have experienced severe trauma and require structured, consistent support.
As a Child & Youth Worker, you will contribute to a stable and healing environment, using trauma-informed approaches and working closely with a multidisciplinary team to support youth safety, emotional regulation, and day-to-day functioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consistent supervision during scheduled overnight or weekend shifts
- Conduct safety and room checks; respond quickly and appropriately to crisis situations
- Offer emotional support, grounding techniques, and regulated care when youth are distressed
- Complete clear, accurate documentation including shift notes and incident reports

Support daily program routines and prepare spaces for the next shift
- Coordinate with daytime teams to ensure continuity and consistency of care
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Child & Youth Care, Social Services, Psychology, or related discipline
- At least one year of experience supporting youth with trauma or complex needs
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practice, harm reduction, and anti-oppressive care
- Skilled in crisis de-escalation, communication, and maintaining professional boundaries
- Ability to remain awake, alert, and attentive throughout overnight shifts (where applicable)
Assets

Previous work in residential, group home, or shelter settings

Training in CPR/First Aid, CPI, or similar crisis-intervention models
- Experience working with youth impacted by gender-based violence or exploitation
