Based in Toronto, Ontario, these permanent residential positions include both full-time overnight and part-time weekend shifts, with competitive hourly rates of $21.15 to $24.63 or annual salaries of $43,984 tot $51,220, depending on schedule and experience.
You'll provide overnight and weekend supervision, emotional support, and crisis response in a trauma-informed live-in treatment environment serving female youth aged 12 to 17 who are survivors of exploitation or trafficking.
About the Opportunity
HealthOPM is recruiting on behalf of a Toronto-based non-profit organization that delivers specialized residential and treatment programs for youth facing complex behavioural and emotional challenges.
As a Youth Worker, youll help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment while implementing trauma-informed practices and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to promote healing and stability for residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overnight and/or weekend supervision ensuring client safety and well-being
- Conduct regular room checks and respond to crises using trauma-informed approaches

Support youth requiring assistance or emotional regulation during shifts
- Document incidents, observations, and shift reports accurately and on time

Maintain cleanliness and prepare program spaces for daily transitions

Collaborate with day staff and management to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Child & Youth Care, Social Service Work, Psychology, or related field
- Minimum one year of experience supporting youth with trauma, substance use, or mental-health challenges
- Knowledge of trauma-informed, harm-reduction, and anti-oppressive practices

Strong communication, documentation, and de-escalation skills
- Ability to remain awake and alert during overnight shifts when scheduled
Assets

Experience in a live-in or residential treatment setting

Certification in First Aid/CPR and Crisis Prevention/Intervention

Familiarity with gender-based violence and youth-protection systems
