Job Title: Physician Assistant Cardiovascular Surgery

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physician Assistant to join our well-established Cardiovascular Surgery team. The ideal candidate will have experience in endoscopic vein harvesting and a passion for providing high-quality surgical and perioperative care. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Cardiothoracic Surgeons in the operating room, including vein harvesting (EVH preferred)

  • Perform inpatient rounds and manage pre- and post-operative care

  • Conduct follow-up visits in outpatient clinic setting

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Cardiology, Vascular Surgery, and Intensivists

  • Participate in call coverage as needed

  • Utilize advanced surgical technology including daVinci robotics and Maquet EVH system

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program

  • Current PA-C certification and Alabama license (or eligibility)

  • Prior experience in cardiovascular surgery strongly preferred

  • Proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting is highly desirable

  • Strong communication and clinical skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
