The E-commerce Operations Specialist manages and supports the day-to-day operational activities of online stores to ensure smooth order processing, accurate product listings, efficient fulfillment, and high customer satisfaction. This role works closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, customer service, logistics, and finance to maintain efficient e-commerce operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily e-commerce operations across online platforms and marketplaces

Maintain and update product listings, pricing, inventory levels, and promotions

Monitor order processing, fulfillment, shipping, and returns to ensure timely delivery

Coordinate with warehouses, fulfillment partners, and third-party logistics providers

Track inventory levels and resolve stock discrepancies

Monitor website performance, checkout functionality, and product availability

Handle operational issues such as order errors, payment issues, or system outages

Collaborate with customer service teams to resolve order-related inquiries and escalations

Generate and analyze operational reports related to sales, inventory, and fulfillment

Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements

Ensure compliance with company policies, marketplace standards, and data security requirements

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelors degree preferred

2–4+ years of experience in e-commerce operations, online retail, or order management

Experience working with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, Amazon, eBay)

Strong organizational and multitasking skills

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment

Preferred Skills

Experience with inventory management or order management systems

Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools

Basic understanding of digital marketing and promotions

Prior experience working in a remote or distributed team
