Systems Specialist

A Systems Specialist focuses on maintaining, optimizing, and supporting an organization's IT systems and infrastructure. This role ensures systems run efficiently, securely, and meet business needs—often acting as a bridge between technical teams and users.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain IT systems (servers, applications, infrastructure)
• Troubleshoot system issues and ensure uptime
• Install, configure, and upgrade software and systems
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
• Support system integrations and data flow between platforms
• Perform system backups and recovery procedures
• Document processes, configurations, and fixes

Required Skills

• Knowledge of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux)
• Basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Experience with system monitoring tools
• Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
• Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
