Overview
HCSI is supporting the recruiting efforts to hire a customer focused team player for a mission oriented environment leading technology company. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter with strong communication skills, capable of interfacing with multiple teams throughout the design process.
We are seeking FPGA Design Engineers specializing in FPGA or ASIC design, development, and verification using System Verilog, Verilog, or VHDL. The design engineer will team up with system and software engineers to develop, document, design, code, verify, and troubleshoot ASIC, FPGA, and embedded firmware designs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate motivation, adaptability, and a customer centric approach, with the ability to lead a small team, mentor colleagues, and quickly learn new technologies.
Key Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP)
Strong oral and written communication skills
Proficiency in VHDL RTL Coding for digital circuit design or analysis
Skilled in Verilog/System & Verilog test bench development
Proficient in Linux/Windows OS
Familiarity with design simulation tools (Mentor, Cadence, Synopsys)
Experience with FPGA Design, synthesis, and P&R tools (e.g., Vivado, Quartus)
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Verilog RTL Coding
Strong skills in C/C++, Python, Perl, or scripting languages
Knowledge of ASIC/FPGA frontend design and cryptographic systems architecture
Proficiency in Reverse Engineering of digital designs from various abstraction levels
Understanding of ASIC implementation methods/tools (synthesis, physical layout Cadence/Synopsys)
Familiarity with formal verification tools
Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes
Experience with soft/hard IP cores in FPGAs/ASICs (e.g., Zynq, Microblaze, RISC processors, memories, flash/NVM)
Education and Experience:
Minimum three years of experience as a Design Engineer in microelectronic component design, integrated circuit, or reverse engineering
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited institution
Five years of additional hardware design engineering experience in lieu of bachelor's degree
