Job Title: Buyer / Purchasing Officer, Trafford Park

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer/Purchasing Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, components, and finished goods for the production of construction and electrical products. Key duties include managing supplier relationships, negotiating prices and terms, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement, strong negotiation skills, and an understanding of the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and purchase raw materials, parts, and components for manufacturing processes.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts with vendors.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure timely replenishment.
• Coordinate with production teams to align materials with production schedules.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Buyer or Purchasing Officer in a manufacturing environment (experience in doors or construction materials is a plus).
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and purchasing software.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
