Mobile Traffic Light Technician Swansea, £25,300 + Overnight Bonus

Do you want to be part of the UK's most extensive traffic light management team with a nationwide depot network as a Mobile Traffic Light Operator? This job role requires you to be away three weeks out of four. On the fourth week, you will be working in the depot based in Swansea. No weekend work is required from this job role, even when working away. The cost of hotels is provided by the client, and a staying overnight bonus is offered.

Your responsibilities:

As a Mobile Traffic Light Technician, you will install, repair, and remove temporary traffic lights while working to the highest Health and Safety standards. This role requires a lot of physical work.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Being part of a team that delivers, sets up, and then collects across the area.
  • Maintaining and servicing all the traffic light equipment.
  • You will also be involved with the repairs and battery exchanges (23kg per battery, a good gym workout) on-site and off-site.
  • Ensuring all paperwork is completed to the company's standards and abide by the company's rules and regulations, including COSHH, Health and Safety, and quality assurance.

Experience and qualifications:

  • Full Current Manual Driving License is required. (B&E would be an advantage) as you will have a small company van/truck to enable you to do your work, this can be taken home at night and therefore a safe place to park is essential.
  • A previous role in maintaining or operating temporary traffic systems would also be an advantage but not essential as we can train you.
  • A previous electrical background would also be beneficial. However, full training is provided.
  • The training is split into Three levels and is linked to pay

About You:

For this job, you must have good organisational skills as you work towards deadlines, and they need to be met at a fast and ever-changing pace. In addition, you must be adaptable as the job involves travelling to places across your area and further afield with possible overnight stays to meet the business needs. Overtime and the rotational on-call cover are involved with the position.

You must have the right to work in the UK, we will also complete a driving license background check on your initial call if selected.
