As a Control Centre Operator, you will play a key role in shaping the future of traffic management across the UK. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and maintaining balanced traffic flows, resolving congestion issues, and supporting the seamless operation of traffic signals. The Responsibilities:

• Operate the Control Hub to manage traffic at junctions across various locations and site sizes.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, local authorities, emergency services, and the REMOS team to ensure smooth traffic movement and safety.
• Analyse and interpret traffic management plans to optimise flow and minimise disruptions, particularly during peak periods or high traffic volumes.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance road safety and traffic efficiency.
• Monitor traffic conditions and provide actionable feedback to clients and stakeholders.
• Develop a strong understanding of traffic policies, systems, and best practices to address local authority requirements effectively.

Desired Skills and Experience

Essential:

• Strong IT proficiency, with excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
• Composure under pressure and the ability to make informed decisions in dynamic traffic scenarios.

Desirable:

Background in traffic systems or related fields, such as:

• Traffic signal operations
• Security control rooms
• Traffic detection systems
• Urban Traffic Management and Control (UTMC)
• CCTV traffic monitoring
• Applicable LANTRA certifications.
• Previous experience in a monitoring or control room environment.

• High attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritise in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in report writing to document traffic patterns and suggest operational improvements.

• Full training on REMOS product capabilities and system operation.
• Instruction on traffic signal operation and its benefits for safe and efficient road management.

Qualifications:

• Evidence of academic achievement in a relevant field.
• IT proficiency and strong interpersonal skills.

Experience:

• Industry experience in traffic management or technology sectors preferred.
• Previous exposure to traffic signals, control rooms, or UTMC environments is advantageous.
