Financial Controller (FD Designate), Warrington, £80,000+ (Depending on Experience)

The Role
We are looking for a Financial Controller (FD Designate) to join our team, working closely with the Managing Director and leading the finance teams at both businesses.

You'll play a key role in shaping financial strategy, overseeing monthly accounts, and annual budgets, and ensuring we meet all financial regulations. You'll also provide valuable insights for business decisions and improve our financial systems.

The Responsibilities

• Lead the finance function and provide strategic advice.
• Analyse business opportunities and offer financial expertise.
• Advise senior management on financial performance and drive improvements.
• Oversee financial systems and ensure compliance with HMRC and statutory regulations.
• Support financial audits and implement internal auditing where needed.
• Ensure adherence to financial regulations and our CCO policy.

The Day-to-Day

• Manage the finance teams at both companies, including recruitment, training, and performance.
• Produce budgets, forecasts, and monthly management reports.
• Ensure accurate forecasting and reporting to stakeholders.
• Provide financial guidance on key business decisions
• Work with our European partners on all financial matters

The Qualifications

• Essential: ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Desirable: BSc/BA in accounting, finance, or related field; MSc/MA is a bonus.
