PHP DEVELOPER

Job Brief

As a PHP Developer you will be working on client-facing applications delivering real business value. You will be part of a cross-functional product development team in an agile environment across the full development lifecycle, aiming to deliver high-quality features in line with the business needs. This is a full-stack development role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build custom software using modern PHP and JavaScript frameworks
  • Work in cooperation with an agile scrum team dedicated to your product
  • Assist with team code reviews, and collaborate on team initiatives
  • Facilitate problem-solving and collaborate with lead developers, product managers, UX/UI teams
  • Advocate agile practices and continuous delivery
  • Ensure software meets all requirements of quality security, modifiability, extensibility etc.

Must-have Skills / Qualifications:

  • Candidate should have at least 2 years of significant development experience
  • Experience in software development and web-based coding in a structured PHP framework, such as Laravel
  • Demonstrated skills in frontend web development using modern HTML/CSS/JavaScript
  • Understanding of software quality assurance principles
  • A technical mindset with great attention to detail
  • Communication: ability to understand and communicate technical plans and outcomes
  • Quality: demonstrate and help mentor good coding practice such as Refactoring, Test-driven Development,
  • Domain Driven Design

Advantageous skills or nice-to-haves:

  • Previous work on projects with accounting functionality
  • Experience on customer-facing web applications
  • Knowledge of a modern frontend JavaScript (e.g. React, VueJS)
  • NoSQL database experience, such as MongoDB
  • Knowledge of the cloud environments for a modern software stack is helpful as is any experience or interest
  • in security, cloud architectures, containers, networks, and platforms
