Sr. Cloud Ops Engineer

 Job Description:

Duties and responsibilities:

  • advanced direct customer support in the Cloud (AWS and/or Azure),
  • responsibility for solving customers cases through contact channels like Support Portal or direct call,
  • maintaining the clients environments to ensure its capacity and availability,
  • participate in Cloud-based projects which includes managing services, infrastructure architecture, migration or security improvement,
  • proactively improve operational aspects (optimization, automation, monitoring),
  • collaborate with the rest of the team on all shared cases,
  • strive to learn and experiment with new solutions.

Minimum competencies and qualifications:

We are looking for someone with:

  • experience in managing/Windows/Linux services, databases and cloud solutions (AWS and/or Azure),
  • experience in managing virtual networks and environments,
  • good knowledge of networking, identity management, databases and backup services,
  • experience in designing and implementation of IT infrastructure and services as secure by default,
  • at least 5 years of working in similar position (e.g. as an IT administrator, DevOps),
  • experience in PowerShell, Python or Bash scripting,
  • experience with CI/CD solutions (e.g. Azure DevOps), containerization (Docker or similar),
  • previous experience in Infrastructure-as-Code e.g. Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation,
  • English at a level that allows free communication in the project with the client and team (minimum B2 level),
  • proactive, positive attitude,
  • open to new experience and willing to learn new things.

Additional skills (nice to have):

  • understanding of SOLID principles, OOP and design patterns,
  • previous experience in managing hybrid environment,
  • ability and knowledge how to calculate costs of cloud services, AWS and/or Azure certification.
