This newly created position is responsible to manage carrier relationships for all transportation activities within Asia and other regions.
The Challenges
- Establish & maintain general and specialized ocean freight rates for the trades specified.
- Handle RFQ/Tenders sent by the networks and agent in related trades.
- Act as escalation point on carrier or consolidator operational issues when needed (e.g., space, equipment, rates etc.)
- Manage service contracts related to the responsible trades
- Establish and maintain good relationships with carriers, overseas agents and vendors
- Create specialized service products.
- Share ocean products information and market intelligence.
- Participate in and support regional ocean team projects
- Monitor and achieve the growth target in the responsible trades in volume as well as GM and TEU.
- Monitor and achieve the core carrier strategy
- Establish own consol box network.
What It Takes
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain related discipline.
- Minimum 6-8 years of work experience in carrier management or other related support functions in logistics or freight forwarding industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Mature, pleasant, good team player and detail-minded
