Job Description:

Our client is currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Industrial Electrician Supervisor at its underground zinc operation. Located within 2-hour drive of The Thousand Islands, Lake Ontario shoreline, the Adirondack Mountains and world class skiing at Lake Placid. Explore Canada with Montreal and Ottawa only 2-3 hours away.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the electrical team.
  • Prioritize, coordinate and layout work for the day.
  • Inventory, schedule, and order materials and supplies for upcoming work.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and repairing electrical components, including PLC panels, drives, motors, fans, VFDs, transformers, pumps, and generators.
  • Work with 4-20 mA, 4160, 13.8, AC up to 480v, 5kva, DC voltages
  • Read and follow prints.
  • Assist the electrical team underground and on surface as needed.
  • Capacity to develop knowledge of hoisting/crushing operations troubleshoot same.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial electrical experience.
  • Minimum 3 years in leadership role.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other department managers and employees.
  • Time management skills.
  • PLC experience.
  • DC/AC/Drive experience.
  • Able to comprehend written and verbal instructions as required to perform his/her duties in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Must be able to perform the work without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of self or others due to the safety sensitivity of tasks.
