Job Overview:

As a Panel Beater, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicle bodies and panels to their original condition. You will work with various tools and techniques to ensure that vehicles are repaired to the highest standards, maintaining the safety and aesthetics of the vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess the extent of damage to vehicle bodies and panels.
- Remove damaged panels and parts using appropriate tools.
- Repair or replace damaged panels, including straightening and welding.
- Refit repaired or replaced panels to the vehicle.
- Ensure that repaired areas are smooth and free of defects.
- Use fillers, sanding, and other techniques to prepare surfaces for painting.
- Work closely with other technicians, including painters and mechanics, to ensure seamless repair processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Keep up-to-date with industry standards and repair techniques.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients about the repair process and timelines.

Requirements:

- A minimum of 5 years of total experience in the panel beating field. - At least 2 years of experience working in Canada or the UK.
- Proven experience as a Panel Beater or in a similar role.
- Proficient in using panel beating tools and equipment.

- Strong understanding of vehicle body construction and repair techniques. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
- Attention to detail and precision in work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.

- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical stamina and strength, as the job involves manual labor.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Certification in Automotive Body Repair or a related field.
- Experience with modern vehicle repair techniques and materials. - Familiarity with computerized repair systems.
