About the role

MBD - Diamond and Fine Jewelry is seeking a talented and creative 3D Designer to join our Product Development Department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in 3D modeling and rendering, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating unique and exquisite jewelry pieces. This position requires collaboration with the Creative Director to bring innovative jewelry designs to life through high-quality 3D models, ensuring precision, aesthetics, and manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities:

• 3D Modeling and Rendering: Create high-quality 3D models and realistic renderings of diamond and fine jewelry pieces, including rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and custom designs, using industry-standard software (e.g., Rhino, Matrix, ZBrush, KeyShot).

• Concept Development: Work closely with the Creative Director to interpret design concepts and sketches, transforming them into 3D digital models that capture the intended aesthetic and functional aspects.

• Design Iteration: Develop multiple design iterations based on feedback from the Creative Director, Product Development team, and other stakeholders to refine and perfect jewelry designs.

• Technical Drawings and Specifications: Prepare detailed technical drawings and specifications for each design, including measurements, materials, stone settings, and other relevant details, to guide the manufacturing process.

• Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with the Product Development team, CAD technicians, artisans, and other departments to ensure that designs are feasible for production and meet the companys quality standards.

• Trend Research and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with current jewelry design trends, materials, and technologies, and apply this knowledge to create innovative and market-leading jewelry designs.

• Quality Control: Ensure the accuracy and quality of 3D models and renderings, conducting checks to ensure designs meet both aesthetic and technical requirements before proceeding to prototyping and production.

• Design Presentations: Prepare and present 3D designs and renderings to the Creative Director and other stakeholders, effectively communicating design concepts, details, and potential adjustments.

• File Management: Maintain an organized library of 3D design files, renderings, and technical documents for future reference and production needs.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor/Diploma s degree in Jewelry Design, Industrial Design, 3D Modeling, or a related field.

• Experience: At least 3 years of experience in 3D design, modeling, and rendering, preferably in the jewelry or luxury goods industry.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in 3D design software such as Rhino, Matrix, ZBrush, KeyShot, or equivalent tools.
• Strong understanding of jewelry manufacturing processes, materials, and techniques.
• Experience with CAD software and creating technical drawings for production.
• Design Skills:

• Excellent eye for detail, color, and form, with a strong aesthetic sense.
• Ability to create innovative and marketable designs aligned with the brand's vision and market trends.

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take constructive feedback.
• Time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Language: Proficiency in English; knowledge of Vietnamese is a plus.
