About the Client:
My client a leading agricultural commodities trading company are looking for a motivated and experienced Trading Specialist covering cotton to join our growing team.
Job Description:
As a Trading Specialist focusing on cotton, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing client relationships, and negotiating contracts to maximize revenue and market penetration. You will play a crucial role in expanding our cotton trading portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximize revenue and market penetration. This includes identifying target markets, setting sales targets, and devising tactics to achieve them.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, understand market trends, and anticipate demand fluctuations.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients. Act as the primary point of contact for inquiries, negotiations, and issue resolution.
- Liaise with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, ensure timely delivery of products, and address any quality or logistical concerns.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and suppliers, ensuring terms and conditions are favorable and in compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and client feedback.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., logistics, finance) to ensure smooth execution of trades.
Requirements:
- Fluency in French is essential.
- Minimum of 3-4 years experience in a similar trading role, preferably in a commodities trading environment.
- Proven experience in trading of cotton and other related agricultural commodities is highly preferred.
- A thorough understanding of the trading market, emphasizing sourcing, buying, and selling, as well as production processes and market dynamics is a significant plus.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Agriculture, or a related field preferred.
- Must be eligible to work in Dubai, UAE or Singapore.
