Summary of Role: The Ethics & Compliance and Government Affairs Principal Specialist will join a growing team of professionals supporting the Ethics & Compliance (E&C) Office and the Singapore Government Affairs Team. The E&C Office is responsible for promoting employee awareness, education and training on our Code of Conduct, corporate policies and general ethical behavior, as well as overseeing and constantly improving a program to assess risks and proactively prevent and detect unlawful/unethical conduct. The Singapore Government Affairs Team is responsible for interfacing with various arms of the Singapore government to ensure a successful partnership with GF. The role will be split approximately 50/50 between E&C and Government Affairs duties, with the expectation to flex as necessary.

We need a candidate with excellent organizational, communication and collaboration skills to partner with us to grow the team. The position is located in Singapore. Ethics & Compliance duties are global in nature but with a specific focus on the APAC region. Government Affairs duties are specific to Singapore. The position will report to the Deputy Director Ethics & Compliance.

Essential Responsibilities:

Drive and promote our culture of ethics and compliance across the Company.

  • Support the Ethics & Compliance Offices organizational engagement and training plan through:
    • Targeted and company-wide communications
    • Coordinating and supporting the activities of our site Compliance Networks, specifically in APAC
    • Coordinating and participating in direct engagement with employee groups via staff meetings, roundtables, etc.
  • Monitor, identify, escalate and report ethics and compliance issues, irregularities, and violations.
  • Investigate concerns reported through GFs whistleblower hotline or otherwise brought to the attention of the E&C Office.
  • Support in the management of daily operations of the Ethics & Compliance Program including its application to employees and facilities in multiple international jurisdictions.
  • Related duties as required to support the Ethics & Compliance Office.

Support the Singapore Government Affairs Team by:

  • Interfacing with Singapore government agencies.
  • Coordinating grant proposals and active grant projects with both the Singapore government and internal GF stakeholders.
  • Related duties as required to support the Singapore Government Affairs Team.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in the field of ethics and compliance, internal audit, government affairs, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of laws, legal codes, procedures, and other relevant authoritative guidance regarding anti-corruption efforts in the United States, the EU, and Asia.
  • Knowledge of the interaction between the Singapore government and large corporate stakeholders such as GF.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree
  • Certification - CCEP, CCEP-I, LCEP, CIA or CFE.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in data management and visualization tools.
  • Experience within the semiconductor/manufacturing industries.
  • Self-starter able to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience working collaboratively on cross-functional and cross-divisional teams.
  • Strong personal integrity and aligned personal values.
  • Project management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning & organizational skills.
