Job Title: Learning & Development Coordinator

Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Summary

o The Learning & Development Coordinator will be responsible for designing,

implementing, and evaluating training programs that enhance employee skills and organizational effectiveness.

o The L&D cordinator will also coordinate training activities, assess learning needs,and ensure the delivery of high-quality training sessions align swith GUS Training Centres objectives.

Key Responsibilities

o Conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and development  opportunities.

o Develop, organize, and facilitate training programs, workshops, and seminars for staff and clients.

o Coordinate logistics for training sessions, including scheduling, venue arrangements, and training materials.

o Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and performance metrics.

o Maintain training records and prepare reports on training activities and outcomes.

o Collaborate with department managers to understand current and future training needs.

o Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate innovative training methods.

o Support the development of training content and materials, both digital and print.

o Assist in the onboarding process by delivering orientation programs for new employees.

o Promote a learning culture within the organization to encourage continuous

professional development.

Qualifications & Skills

o Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or related fields

o 4 - 7 years of experience in training and development, preferably in Oil & Gas /Marine sectors

o Excellent communication and presentation skills.

o Strong organizational and coordination abilities.

o Proficiency in MS Office and training software.

o Ability to assess training needs and evaluate training effectiveness.

o Creativity and adaptability in training delivery.

Preferred Attributes:

o Certification in Training and Development is a plus.

o Experience with e-learning platforms and digital training tools.
