Overview
TalentFish is casting a line for a Vice President, Information Technology. This is a remote, full-time leadership role supporting multi-location operations qualified candidates will have the ability to travel to use base offices mainly in the Chicago-Land Area and mid west but not limited to only Chicago and midwest - estimated up to 25% travel.
This role reports directly to the CEO, and is responsible for setting the strategic direction and providing operational oversight for all Information Technology Services (ITS). This role exists to ensure technology infrastructure, data governance, and cybersecurity practices align with organizational strategy, enable operational excellence, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. The VP of IT also serves as the HIPAA Security Officer, ensuring robust data protection and governance practices across the enterprise.
What You Bring to the Role (Ideal Experience)
- Education and formal training in Information Technology; bachelor's degree preferred
- Relevant IT, security, or infrastructure certifications preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of IT leadership experience, preferably within healthcare or a regulated industry
- Proven success leading IT strategy for multi-location organizations
- Strong financial acumen, including experience managing large budgets and vendor relationships
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, manage complexity, and execute enterprise-level initiatives
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Experience working in fast-paced, evolving environments with competing priorities
What You'll Do (Skills Used in this Position) Information & Technology Services Leadership
- Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all IT infrastructure, systems, and services
- Ensure reliable and scalable IT support for both clinical and administrative functions
- Monitor emerging technologies and recommend innovations that drive organizational efficiency and growth
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans within areas of responsibility
Data Governance & Analytics (This role requires strong Data Analytics skills)
- Direct the collection, governance, and analysis of organizational data to support strategic decision-making
- Ensure data integrity, availability, and compliance with privacy and security regulations
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI or similar tools
- Demonstrate comfort with:
- SQL queries, database maintenance, views, and indexing
- Data modeling and applying analytics to business requirements
- No-code / low-code API solutions (e.g., Zapier, Keragon)
- Administrative oversight of Azure Data Factory
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Serve as the organization's HIPAA Security Officer
- Develop, enforce, and monitor cybersecurity policies, standards, and response protocols
- Oversee risk assessments, vulnerability management, and incident response efforts
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other applicable security and privacy standards
Application Development & Systems Administration
- Provide oversight and hands-on expertise in:
- Mobile application development (Android and iOS)
- App publication and management within the Play Store and App Store
Infrastructure & Systems Administration
- Administrator-level knowledge of Microsoft O365, including:
- User creation and deactivation
- SharePoint administration
- Exchange management
- Purview records search
- Intune administration
- G-Suite to O365 and O365 to O365 migrations
- Azure server administration
- Network and security administration, including:
- Ubiquiti
- Cisco
- VOIP solutions (RingCentral preferred)
- CRM administration (HubSpot preferred)
- EMR administration and development (Nextech preferred)
Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Compensation Information
The expected salary range for this position is 135K-150K per year plus bonus, depending on experience and qualifications. This role also qualifies for comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off. TalentFish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity.
