Responsible for overseeing and executing complex tax compliance and planning functions for a diverse client base. This role requires a deep understanding of tax legislation and its application to various business structures.
The Salary Range: 50,000 -60,000

The Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely tax returns for Sole Traders, Partnerships, Trusts, Companies, and SMSFs.
- Demonstrate expertise in handling complex tax scenarios such as Division 7A and Trust Distribution minutes.
- Develop and implement comprehensive tax planning strategies for family group structures (2 or more entities min).
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and minimize tax liabilities for clients.
- Provide proactive tax advice to clients on business transactions and financial decisions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Manage any Taxation audits by the Australian Taxation Office on behalf of the clients.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation and industry best practices.
- Provide tax-related business advice to clients, including recommendations on business structure, financial management, and risk mitigation.
- Identify opportunities for business growth and improvement through tax-efficient strategies.
- Perform other accounting-related tasks as required.
The Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3 - 5 years of proven experience in Tax Accounting and Compliance
- Holds or is studying towards a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification
- In-depth knowledge of complex tax legislation
- Any tax or business advisory knowledge is a bonus
- Management of a small team is not necessary but ideal
- Proficient in relevant tax software and accounting systems such as QuickBooks and/or Xero
- Autonomous worker, driven and passionate about their life (personal & work)
- Personable and/or bubbly
