Q201365: Estimator (Cubit)

To prepare accurate estimates for projects by gathering information and analysing important metrics. Knowledge of costs and benefits that support profitable business decisions. Must be thorough and apt in managing relationships with key people, the goal is to provide detailed reports so the company can make informed decisions that will enhance its profitability and growth.

Salary Range: PHP 35,000 - PHP 45,000

The Work Set-Up:

• Work onsite
• 8 hour work shift
• Monday - Friday
• Dayshift (6:00am - 3:00pm)

The Responsibilities:

• Analysing requirement documents, blueprints and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project
• Preparing accurate cost estimates, considering materials, labor, and equipment costs.
• Using Buildsoft Cubit Estimating System to create precise estimates.
• Developing material and labor estimates, ensuring accuracy.
• Managing vendor and contractor bids, ensuring competitiveness and accuracy.
• Building and maintaining relationships with vendors, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Presenting estimates and reports to management, ensuring clarity for decision-making.
• Monitoring changes to the project scope and adjusting estimates accordingly.

The Requirements:

• BS in Engineering, or similar field, 5+ years' experience as an Estimator, with a background in building and general construction
• Strong proficiency in Buildsoft Cubit Estimating System.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet programs.
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, plans, and blueprints
• Ability to coordinate and work independently
• Strong analytical skills to accurately interpret data and adjust estimates as needed
• Knowledge of CAD software is a bonus
