This is a role with responsibility for exceptional and thorough pricing of technical / surveying work. You will take accurate quantities of drawings and provide estimates for project work back to sales and project teams.

Salary Range: 30,000-40,000
Work Set-Up: Work onsite | Mon-Fri | 6am - 3pm

Responsibilities:

• Accurately identify all pricing requirements from technical drawings.
• Perform detailed take-offs and summarising schedules for distribution to suppliers and partners.
• Communicate requirements to all who need to know and let the manager / appropriate person know any challenges or obstacles to production planning.
• Follow up all possible / probable / actual jobs to ensure logistics are well planned, pro-actively obtain and share all relevant information needed by the team.
• Respond to changes to deadlines, schedules and priorities & communicate effectively with all team members.
• Document project steps and outcomes, tracking progress and driving corrective actions when needed.
• Accurate & timely (within agreed timeframes) completion of pricing estimates.
• Track processing of estimates and keep manager informed of any serious concerns.
• Ensure compliance with H&S policy / procedures / practices.
• Improve on existing systems & put suggestions and improvements forward.
• Complete any additional tasks and reasonable instructions as required.

Requirements:

• QS / estimating experience.

• Preferably with experience in Groundplan or Bluebeam estimating software.

• Competent in the Office Suite of products, Word, Excel, Powerpoint.

• High level of accuracy and detail consciousness.

• Able to effectively manage numerous and at times conflicting tasks / priorities.

• Positive communication skills & able to maintain confidentiality.

• Able to work autonomously and take initiative.
• Work effectively with a wide range of people.
