 Job Description:

The role is responsible for delivering quality and efficient engineering to the company. Responsible for all areas of quality service delivery, striving for best in class commercial and financial practices to meet the client's expectations. Responsible for the delivery of multiple Engineering projects (minor and major projects) within the Engineering Project team from concept to production ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Working with the Construction and Estimating teams in providing engineering consulting for design and project engineering, equipment selection, alternative design submissions.

Salary Range: PHP 35,000 – 45,000
Work Set-up (AU Shift): Work Onsite | 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM PHT 

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out engineering design and calculations.
  • Engineer solutions and variations on projects.
  • Complete drawing mark-ups and reviews where required for the Drafting team to complete workshop, construction and as-built drawings.
  • Provide design advice to Project, Drafting and Engineering teams.
  • Review design and workshop mechanical drawings for compliance to standards, commercial enhancements, errors etc.
  • Complete engineering checks as required on new projects awarded through the Tender process.
  • Review consultants design for projects awarded through the Tender process for compliance, commercial opportunity i.e. more price effective options within the project scope.
  • Carryout re-design from a value engineering constructability and/or safety in design perspective.
  • Coordinate with suppliers regarding engineering items, and commercial items where required.
  • Communicating, providing design advice and engineering information and interpreting client requirements to ensure that technical, legislative and commercial aspects are delivered on each allocated Engineering project.
  • Review drawings and all associated documentation for compliance with design intent,
  • Comment and provide alternatives and approve plant and equipment selections associated with the Engineering team projects.
  • Assist the Project and Estimating teams with design advice and engineering calculations for alternative designs and value engineering and financial control of contracts during construction stage.
  • In collaboration with the Engineering Manager, follow, review, develop and implement Engineering systems and procedures ensuring consistency across the department:

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering, or equivalent
  • At least 2 years' with relevant experience in Australian HVAC industry
  • Proficient in Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and MS Office
  • Knowledge in Revit and Camel Software is an advantage
  • Knowledge of the relevant building codes and Australian Standards is an advantage
  • Understanding of engineering practices and relevant guidelines by CIBSE, AIRAH & ASHRAE is an advantage
  • Understanding and experience in Greenstar, NABERS and PCA Grade building requirements is an advantage
  • Strong communication and attention to detail
