The role will be part of the Product Management team and will be based in Tokyo. This role will require working onsite in the office at least 4 days a week.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Consumer Product Manager to join our innovation team. This role focuses on developing new products from the ground up (0 to 1), finding product-market fit, and driving rapid experimentation and iteration. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology, skilled in managing uncertainty, and proficient in both Japanese and English.

WHAT YOULL BE DOING

  1. 0 to 1 Product Development:
    • Lead the end-to-end product development process from ideation to launch.
    • Identify new product opportunities through market research and consumer insights.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  2. Finding Product-Market Fit:
    • Conduct thorough market analysis to understand customer needs and competitive landscape.
    • Develop and test hypotheses to identify product-market fit.
    • Utilize data-driven approaches to refine product positioning and value proposition.
  3. Experimentation and Velocity:
    • Implement agile methodologies to drive rapid experimentation and iteration.
    • Define and track key performance metrics to measure the success of product experiments.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the product team.
  4. Technology Proficiency:
    • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.
    • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility and innovation.
    • Advocate for the integration of cutting-edge technologies to enhance product offerings.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience of 3 to 6 years in product management, particularly in developing new products from scratch.
  • Strong understanding of market research, consumer insights, and competitive analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and execute rapid experimentation and iteration processes.
  • Proficiency in both Japanese and English is a MUST.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Passionate about technology and innovation, with a track record of staying current with industry trends.
