Data Migration Engineer (Prague, hybrid)

We are looking for someone to take technical ownership of data migrations on a project for a banking client in Prague. You will make sure individual migration waves run correctly, keep the migration tooling up to date as the bank's systems keep changing, and prove with data that what landed in the target matches the source.

What you will be responsible for

• Technical delivery of individual migration waves, from source data analysis to a verified load
• Maintaining and extending the migration tools so they keep pace with ongoing changes on the bank's side
• Source-to-Target mapping based on the source and target data models
• Data quality checks: duplicates, anomalies, missing values and data inconsistencies
• Reconciliation of source and target data (record counts, checksums and similar controls)
• Getting oriented quickly in undocumented databases and in CSV, XML and JSON data

What we expect from you

• Hands-on experience with data migrations in a banking environment
• Advanced SQL: complex joins, aggregations and data analysis on MS SQL, Oracle and PostgreSQL
• Ability to read data models and build Source-to-Target mappings
• A systematic approach to data quality and reconciliation
• Fluent Czech and communicative English
