Senior EDW Data Architect - Teradata (remote)

You will shape the enterprise data warehouse of an international bank: Teradata on-premises, regulatory data and a governance-heavy environment. This is a hands-on architecture role - roughly half of the work is detailed data analysis, SQL investigation and solution validation.

What you will be responsible for

• Data architecture designs for enterprise data warehouse delivery
• Source data, data flow and downstream consumption analysis, including Teradata SQL investigation
• Design options with a clear recommendation, backed by High Level Designs and Architecture Design Decisions
• Architecture proposals presented to architecture boards and governance forums
• Governance by design: lineage, controls, reconciliation, auditability and regulatory compliance
• Support to engineering and testing teams through build, testing and go-live

What we expect from you

• 5+ years as a Data Architect, or as a senior Data Engineering Lead with real architecture ownership
• Strong hands-on Teradata in an on-premises enterprise data warehouse (SQL, data investigation, issue analysis)
• Teradata Financial Services Data Model or an equivalent financial services data model
• Banking or regulatory data experience, including BCBS239 / RDARR, regulatory reporting and data traceability
• ETL delivery with Informatica and/or DataStage; metadata-driven ingestion or control frameworks
• Control-M or a comparable batch scheduler
• Teradata GCFR or Cloudera experience is an advantage
• English at C1 level (B2 minimum)
