Job Description:

ECT Emergency Responder- Mining, EE

29 km from Kathu, Southern Kalahari, South Africa

Experience: 2 years |Qualification: NQF 6 Emergency Care Technician

Preference will be given to women in mining and designated groups in
accordance with the Company's Employment Equity Plan.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
To provide fire and advanced medical emergency services to the
operations, which includes but not limited to:
-Emergency service provision
-Emergency service provision fire fighting
-Equipment inspection
-Fatigue monitoring
-Drug testing
-Inspect first aid boxes
-Administrative Support
-SHERQ adherence and compliance
-Work Ethics

QUALIFICATIONS
-Grade 12
-National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Emergency Care Technician
(including post trauma training to deal with serious injuries)
-Advanced defense driving
-Fire Fighter II or equivalent qualification (Recommended)
-High Angle Rescue Certificate Level I (Recommended)

EXPERIENCE
-Minimum of two (2) years operational Fire / Rescue / Emergency Medical Services environment at ECT level

-Computer literacy
-Ability to drive safely at high speed.
-Maintains effective work behavior in the face of setbacks or pressure

- Demonstrates a readiness to make decisions, take the initiative and
   originate action
-Quick, effective decision making in essential emergency situations
-Motivated to help, put others first
- Being dependable and having a strong duty to others
- Working knowledge of MHSA and OHSAS
-Vienna Test System as per emergency equipment requirement
-Comfortable with heights or confined spaces

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
-Meet required medical fitness standards
-Drivers license Valid Code 14 / EC with PDP

ACCREDITATION AND REGISTRATION
HPCSA Registered Emergency Care Technicians (Essential)
Fire Applications (SAQCC) (Optional)

The candidate will be appointed on the condition of being certified medically fit as per Mine Health and Safety Act 29/1996.
