Job Description:

Groupworx is looking for a Sales Supervisor to join our team in Richards Bay, KZN. 

Position Overview:
The Sales Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of a small shop, ensuring exceptional customer service, achieving sales targets, and leading a small team of employees. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to effectively drive sales and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership:

    • Supervise, train, and mentor the team, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
    • Schedule shifts and manage employee timekeeping to ensure adequate coverage during operating hours.
    • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, provide updates, and address any concerns.
  2. Sales Management:

    • Set sales targets and goals for the team and monitor their performance against these targets.
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue and meet or exceed sales quotas.
    • Analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
  3. Customer Service:

    • Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service by coaching and modelling effective customer interactions.
    • Handle customer complaints and inquiries, resolving issues promptly and maintaining a positive customer experience.
    • Train team members to provide product knowledge and assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions.
  4. Inventory Control:

    • Manage inventory levels and conduct regular inventory checks to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
    • Coordinate with the inventory department to ensure accurate stock records and timely replenishment.
  5. Visual Merchandising:

    • Maintain an attractive and organized shop layout to enhance the overall shopping experience.
    • Implement visual merchandising strategies to highlight key products and promotions.
