Role Overview:
The Social Media Executive will be responsible for managing the organization's digital presence across multiple social media platforms. The ideal candidate will create engaging content, drive community engagement, and amplify our events, programs, and impact stories to foster a vibrant online community dedicated to accessibility and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Content Creation & Management:
- Platform Management: Plan, create, and publish compelling content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and WhatsApp Channels.
- Campaign Planning: Develop comprehensive social media calendars and strategic campaign plans aligned with organizational goals.
- Copywriting: Craft impactful captions, engaging stories, Reels/Shorts scripts, and promotional copy.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with cross-functional teams, photographers, and videographers to capture and collect high-quality event content.
- Graphic Design: Design clean, on-brand basic graphics using Canva or similar design tools.
2. Community Engagement:
- Audience Interaction: Actively respond to comments, direct messages, and general social media inquiries in a timely, empathetic manner.
- Relationship Building: Engage with and nurture our online network of followers, volunteers, donors, corporate partners, and participants.
3. Event Promotion & Coverage:
- Campaign Execution: Drive awareness and participation for cycling rides, treks, marathons, fundraising campaigns, and inclusion programs.
- End-to-End Coverage: Strategize and execute pre-event hype, live-event coverage, and post-event recap content.
- Storytelling: Feature and share powerful participant stories, volunteer experiences, and impact testimonials.
4. Video & Reels Production:
- Short-Form Video: Conceptualize, shoot, and produce engaging short-form videos, Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
- Video Editing: Edit video content efficiently using mobile or desktop editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Premiere Pro).
- Trend Adaptation: Keep a pulse on digital trends and creatively adapt them to fit the organization's mission.
5. Analytics, Reports & Branding:
- Performance Tracking: Monitor key social media performance and engagement metrics.
- Data-Driven Insights: Prepare comprehensive monthly reports analyzing reach, follower growth, and campaign success, providing actionable recommendations for optimization.
- Brand Compliance: Ensure all digital output aligns strictly with brand guidelines, maintaining a consistent and respectful voice around disability inclusion and accessibility.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Communication: Exceptional written and spoken English communication skills.
- Platform Expertise: In-depth, up-to-date knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube algorithms and best practices.
- Technical Tools: Proficiency with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, or equivalent design and video editing software.
- Content Capture: Strong baseline photography and videography skills (smartphone or DSLR).
- Flexibility: Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to provide live coverage for scheduled events.
- Core Attributes: Highly creative, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and deeply passionate about social impact and inclusion.
