About the role: 

The Manager - Disha Abhiyan serves as a member of the Central Core Team, responsible for supporting and monitoring the progress of various programs under the Disha initiative across multiple states. This initiative is a scaling project designed to address the lack of uniform and relevant curriculum for children with Intellectual Disabilities (ID).


Key Responsibilities:

Program Management

  • Government Liaison: Build and maintain relationships with state government authorities to create an enabling environment for program implementation.

  • Stakeholder Coordination: Support internal stakeholders by facilitating effective program implementation, including program reviews, donor presentations, and communications.

  • Strategic Partnerships: Develop and manage strategic partnerships with other NGOs.

  • Implementation Strategy: Gather on-ground intelligence to develop implementation strategies for new geographic regions.

  • Knowledge Management: Lead the creation of a repository for case studies and best practices.

  • Data Analysis: Work closely with the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) team to analyze data and provide insights on key program metrics.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Minimum of a Masters degree. Applicants with a Bachelors degree and a strong background in the education sector will also be considered.

  • Experience: 6–8 years of work experience in project management, data/M&E techniques, and working with government networks.

  • Training: Experience in planning and conducting training sessions is preferred.

  • Languages: Strong communication skills in English, Hindi, and Marathi.

  • Collaboration: High emotional intelligence and empathy to inspire, motivate, and facilitate positive interactions with stakeholders.

  • Ownership: A mindset of taking full responsibility and accountability for tasks and outcomes.
