Job Purpose:
The Centre Manager will oversee the end-to-end operations of the Skill Development Centre (SDC). This includes the effective execution of training programs, the mobilization of female candidates, and coordination with various stakeholders. The role's primary goal is to ensure operational excellence, compliance, and the successful placement of trained candidates in tyre manufacturing roles at a leading manufacturing company.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Centre Operations & Administration
- Manage daily SDC operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Optimize centre resources to create an effective learning environment.
- Track and report key performance indicators, including mobilization, enrollments, training outcomes, and placements.
2. Candidate Mobilization & Engagement
- Develop and implement strategies to enroll female candidates.
- Partner with local communities, NGOs, institutions, and government bodies for outreach.
- Oversee candidate selection, onboarding, and retention.
3. Training Oversight & Workforce Development
- Ensure training quality aligns with industry standards.
- Monitor training delivery and support curriculum improvements.
- Facilitate job readiness, industry exposure, and practical learning opportunities.
4. Industry & Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as the primary point of contact between the SDC and the manufacturing plant.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry partners and other relevant authorities.
- Organize industrial visits, guest lectures, and exposure programs.
5. Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead, guide, and supervise centre staff, trainers, and support personnel.
- Foster a high-performance culture and ensure the achievement of centre goals.
6. Compliance, Data Management & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate trainee records and submit timely progress reports.
- Utilize digital tools for effective monitoring and reporting.
Qualifications and Key Skills:
- Education: Bachelors/Masters degree in Social Work, Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years in centre management, operations, mobilization, or training programs. Experience in vocational training, manufacturing processes, or the tyre industry is preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership and team management, expertise in operations, effective communication, knowledge of NSDC, and a data-driven approach.
