About the role:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Manager to join our fundraising team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in leading our CSR fundraising efforts. They will be an integral part of the fundraising team, own the fundraising goals, and be responsible for donor management to help forge new long-term partnerships. The candidate will lead the outreach, fundraising, donor management, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with the organization's mission and goals.
- This includes identifying potential funding sources, institutional donors, grants, and corporate partnerships.
Goal Setting:
- Define fundraising goals and targets in collaboration with the leadership team. Create a clear roadmap for achieving these goals within specified timelines.
Prospect Research:
- Conduct thorough research to identify potential tech and non-tech grants, foundations, government agencies awards, and funding opportunities that align with the organization's mission and goals.
- Build and maintain a database of potential supporters.
Corporate Partnerships:
- Explore and establish partnerships with corporations interested in supporting our initiatives through sponsorships, donations, and employee engagement programs. Lead and manage corporate social responsibility partnership, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Relationship Building:
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders. Oversee current and new donor management.
- Develop personalized engagement plans to secure financial support and long-term partnerships.
Grant Writing and Proposal Development:
- Partner with grant writers to prepare compelling grant proposals and funding applications to secure grants from foundations, government agencies, and other funding sources.
Events and Campaigns:
- Plan and execute fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives to engage donors and raise funds effectively.
Reporting and Evaluation:
- Regularly report on fundraising progress to the leadership team. Evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising strategies and adjust as needed.
- Work with various departments to collate, validate data, and prepare various formats of communication for funding partners and potential CSR donors.
Required skills and expertise:
- A graduate / Postgraduate with at least 3+ years of experience in the non-profit sector with demonstrated CSR fundraising, donor prospecting and management experience. Total experience of 7-9 years. Prior experience in the education sector is desirable.
- Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills, being responsible for building new meaningful partnerships, strategically planning & raising funds within the CSR space
- An individual with a high emotional quotient skilled in in-person interactions with various stakeholders including funding partners and donor organisations.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to set and achieve ambitious fundraising goals.
- Experienced in donor reporting will be critical in this role, including project updates, presentations, communication collaterals, and reports.
- Proficient in curating programmatic documents such as impact reports and proposals with an exceptional eye for detail.
- Able to work with minimal supervision, biased towards action, and has good verbal and written communications skills.
- Proficiency in donor management software and CRM systems and an expert in MS Office and presentations.
