Role Summary:
We are looking for a finance manager to lead the south India finance operations of the org. The person should have CA and nonprofit ecosystem experience.
Roles & Responsibilities
Managing the dashboard of project accounts for preparation of budget and tracking of project expenses.
Raise Grant requests based on expenses incurred during the month/ quarter etc. Tracking income recognised and funds received from the client.
Managing day to day task including General Ledger reconciliation, TDS, Vendor and Staff payable and receivables etc.
Prepare a monthly/quarterly Budget vs. Actuals report to track and analyse the variance between planned and actual financial performance
Coordinating with clients, auditors, and providing reports in prescribed formats. Overseeing all payments and expenditures, including: Payroll management, Purchase orders, Invoices and statements processing.
Verifying staff and vendor bills and ensuring timely payments.
Verify the expenses for its validity, document evidencing the expense, correctness as per policy and authorization. Match the expense against Budget line item and booking of expenses in Tally.
Liaise with donors and provide financial reports in the required format to ensure transparency and accountability. Ensure that all donor requirements are met to their satisfaction, fostering strong relationships and trust.
Maintain financial control and analyse budget utilization to optimize financial performance. Develop and present comprehensive financial reports to stakeholders, highlighting key trends and insights.
Ensure the highest quality of financial management, adhering to best practices and standards.Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to drive informed decision-making.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate financial strategies and goals. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, laws, and organizational policies.
Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all statutory requirements, including tax filings, returns, and payments.
Verify the authenticity and accuracy of staff and vendor bills, ensuring proper documentation and approvals before processing payments. Prepare and present
comprehensive Management Information System (MIS) reports, providing insights and analysis to support informed decision-making.
Oversee and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Monitor and comply with relevant laws, regulations, and standards related to financial management and reporting.
Develop and maintain a robust compliance framework, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and procedures. Facilitate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support to ensure a smooth audit process.
Knowledge and Skills
Excellent Microsoft office skills (Excel/Word etc).
Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software (Tally) mandatory.
Excellent communication skills. Tamil or Kannada is must [one language is must]
