LLF is a system-focused and impact-driven organization dedicated to addressing the foundational learning crisis in collaboration with the national and state governments in India. Over the past 8 years, we have improved foundational learning outcomes of 850,000+ children and classroom processes of 2,50,000+ teachers and teacher educators across 8 states. LLF currently works with 8 state governments across the country. 

Position Description

LLF is seeking an individual with exceptional skills, experience, and expertise in monitoring and evaluation related to large-scale school education interventions. This person will be a key member of our team, leading the M&E efforts across the 8 states where LLF operates.

Roles and Responsibilities:


  1. Contribute to the overall M&E initiatives of the organization.

  2. Support the development and implementation of policies for effective data management, including protocols for data collection, analysis, interpretation, and sharing.

  3. Formulate techniques to ensure quality data collection, ensuring adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy.

  4. Coordinate the development of tools for literacy assessments and classroom observation, establishing protocols for data management and analysis.

  5. Revise and review theory of change, logic models, and design indicator frameworks to enhance data collection and utilization.

  6. Assist in donor reporting by integrating quality monitoring and learning outcomes data into reporting structures.

  7. Establish and maintain a database to monitor program progress and implementation.

  8. Collaborate with technology partners to build data collection and analysis mechanisms, such as a classroom observation app.

  9. Assist in generating reports and extracting data, supporting the documentation of electronic data management systems accessible to relevant teams.

  10. Develop student assessment frameworks, analyze assessment findings, and prepare reports.

  11. Engage with field teams to resolve queries, interpret data, and analyze data for program use.

  12. Support the development and coordination of internal process studies, evaluations, and research studies as part of program activities.


Educational Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:

Qualifications:

  1. Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field of education.

  2. Minimum of 10 years of overall professional experience.

  3. At least 7 years of experience specifically in monitoring and evaluation (M&E) functions, preferably within education-related programs.

  4. Prior work experience in the education or development sector.

Skills:

  1. Strong understanding of data administration and management functions, including data collection, analysis, interpretation, and presentation.

  2. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with statistical software such as Stata, SPSS, and ODK.

  3. Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.

  4. Effective communication and presentation skills in both English and Hindi.

  5. Ability to build and manage relationships, with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Abilities:

  1. Ability to effectively manage and utilize program data for monitoring and evaluation purposes.

  2. Capability to develop and implement M&E policies and protocols for effective data management.

  3. Competence in revising and reviewing theory of change, logic models, and indicator frameworks.

  4. Skill in coordinating and conducting internal process studies, evaluations, and research studies.

  5. Capacity to support donor reporting by including quality monitoring and learning outcomes data.
