Position Description
LLF is looking for an individual with proven skills, experience, and knowledge in monitoring and evaluation related to large-scale school education-based interventions. The M&E Officer will be responsible for handling the M&E matters of LLF's work in Uttar Pradesh/Haryana. The position reports to the State Manager for administrative matters and to the Senior Manager - M&E in the Central Team for technical matters.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Data Management and Analysis:
Implement policies for effective data management using protocols for data collection, analysis, interpretation, and sharing.
Support the development of tools for literacy assessments and classroom observation, creating protocols for data management and analysis.
Maintain a database to monitor the progress of the program and its implementation.
Liaise with technology partners to build data collection and analysis mechanisms for the program, such as the classroom observation app.
Reporting and Documentation:
Assist in donor reporting by including quality monitoring and learning outcomes data in reporting structures.
Assist with reports and data extraction as needed, supporting documentation for data management systems accessible to relevant teams.
Support the development and coordination of internal process studies, evaluations, and research studies as part of the program.
Training and Support:
Interact with field teams to resolve queries, interpret, and analyze data for program usage.
Support in developing student assessment frameworks, analyzing assessment findings, and writing reports.
Educational Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Qualifications:
Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field of education.
Skills:
Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions (collection, analysis, interpretation, presentation, etc.).
Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and statistical software such as Stata, SPSS, etc.
Familiarity with data collection tools viz. SurveyCTO/ODK/Google Form.
Fair understanding of Looker Studio or Apache superset data visualisation platforms.
An analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Fluency in English and Hindi.
