Veruschka Foundation is a Section 8, not-for-profit organisation based in Mumbai, dedicated to creating positive social impact through various community-driven initiatives. Our focus areas include skill development, vocational training, empowerment, and sustainable livelihoods for persons with disabilities. We seek an experienced and motivated Program Manager to oversee and manage our programmes, ensuring they are effectively implemented and aligned with our mission.

Job Description: The Program Manager will be responsible for the overall management and coordination of the Foundations programs, including mobilisation, admissions, fee management, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of program management in the non-profit sector, and the ability to drive projects from inception to completion. This role is critical in ensuring that our programs run smoothly, meet their objectives, and have a meaningful impact on the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program Management: Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all programs, ensuring they meet the Foundations strategic objectives and are delivered on time and within budget.
  
• Mobilization: Lead community outreach efforts to mobilize participants, volunteers, and stakeholders for various programs, ensuring maximum participation and engagement.
  
• Admissions Management: Oversee the admissions process for educational and training programs, ensuring that the selection criteria are met and that all participants are appropriately enrolled.
  
• Fee Management: Manage fee structures and collections for programs that require participant contributions, ensuring transparency and accountability in financial dealings.
  
• Monitoring and Evaluation: Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess program effectiveness, making recommendations for improvement where necessary.
  
• Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on program progress, outcomes, and impact to senior management and donors, ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed.
  
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor program staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to ensure high performance.
  
• Budgeting and Financial Oversight: Develop program budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure that programs are financially sustainable.
  
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, community leaders, government agencies, and partner organizations.
  
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with program activities and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  
• Compliance: Ensure that all programs comply with legal, regulatory, and donor requirements, as well as the Foundations policies and procedures.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Business Management, or a related field; a Masters degree is preferred.
  
• 3+ years of experience in program management, preferably in the non-profit sector.
  
• Proven experience in community mobilization, admissions management, and financial oversight.
  
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English; proficiency in Hindi or Marathi is a plus.
  
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with project management software.
