About KEF:

Kotak Education Foundation’s (KEF) mission is to support children and youth from underprivileged families through different education based interventions to rise above the poverty line and lead a life of dignity through sustainable processes. KEF works with some of India’s most economically underprivileged communities, attempting to alleviate poverty through education and livelihood programs.

KEF works with multiple regional language government-aided private institutions. These schools have been set up by social entrepreneurs and lack quality teaching, infrastructure and leadership. Through its various programs across education, innovative healthcare and livelihood training programs, the foundation supplements the efforts of these schools to improve their conditions.

KEF works on School Education, Livelihoods & Scholarship programs in India, below are the highlights: SCHOOL EDUCATION

State Education transformation in progress in 2 States (Maharashtra and Gujarat, piloting projects in other states) impacting learning outcomes of 1 million students for progressive improvement in grade appropriateness

SCHOLARSHIPS

15,000 Scholarships awarded for higher education with 2,500 graduating and gainfully employed, yielding a 2.5X ROI in a year

VOCATIONAL EDUCATION

60,000 youth (dropouts/graduates) and 30,000 school students trained on futuristic employable skills yielding an 8X ROI in a year

Role & Responsibilities:

Systems & Processes:

  • Designing systems and process for induction and facilitator development.
  • Giving clarity on their role and setting KRA for direct reportees
  • Designing and executing appropriate workshops, trainings for facilitators in alignment with program objectives Support Manager Beneficiary learning to design and execute workshops for beneficiary

Team Development:

  • Designing & executing strategies to enable facilitators for programme implementation
  • Sensing & identifying team needs and planning periodic training for facilitators

Assessment & Reviews:

  • Continuous assessment and review of facilitator performance by conducting demos / on field observations and monthly reviews with Facilitator

Data & documentation:

  • Analyzing data to identify team development needs for enabling effective execution of programme in schools Documenting the training needs, training Calendar and periodic reporting on outcomes

Financial management

  • Preparing and managing budget for the intervention
  • Responsible for implementing activities in accordance with project or activity budgets
  • Responsible for fund utilization judiciously and follow compliance as defined by the organization

Candidate Specifications: 

  • Masters (Psychology) & Masters (Education) mandatory
  • 7+ years’ experience as Master Trainer / minimum 5 years as an HM of a school
  • Worked with adult counseling or mentoring and with an exposure to school education system
  • Knowledge and understanding of Facilitation tools and skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of adult learning psychology and being
  • Other Skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong computer and technology skills, with familiarity in using computer & web based applications
  • Strong reasoning and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrates concern for accuracy and detail
  • Achieves a high level of trust in relationships
  • Values different points-of-view; remains open-minded to change

Hours of work: 8 hours 6 days a week

Working conditions: This job will also involve working in challenging community areas with infrastructural and other disadvantages
