CEL is a community-entrenched & impact-focused research & innovation organization of global repute. We have been embedded in rural Uttar Pradesh since 2003 and have made seminal contributions to the science of advancing mother and infant health and early child development, as well as to global and national policy. Our mission is to place mothers at the heart of human development and nurture them so that they can nurture the future of humanity. We do so by first understanding the workings and needs of these communities, then we co-design solutions with them that are eventually tested through Trials/Experiments. The scientific findings from these Trials/Experiments are then scaled to influence state, national and global policies and are implemented within the community.

Our core is focused on Newborn Survival & Maternal Health, Health system strengthening and Early Childhood Development. Therefore, all our initiatives are aligned to solve the local and global challenges faced by newborns and mothers.

About Role
The Senior Consultant - Project Management Reforms will be working with the leaderships at CEL to work across projects, define the project management approaches, build the process and systems for effective tracking and monitoring, training team on the same to scale the project management approaches

The Core role would be:

• Study of all our projects in the public health space, dealing with maternal and child survival;
• Deployment of project management tools across all our studies to track progress and outcomes in real time
• Coach and handhold our staff in the deployment and usage of project management tools
• Ensure that all our projects are streamlined and meet milestone requirements
• Collaborate with senior and leadership teams in the adoption of modern project management tools
• Document and report areas of growth and improvement in the context of the critical nature of the projects we execute.

The ideal candidate would have 6-8+ years of experience in a fast-paced project execution environment. Development sector experience is not mandatory but some understanding of the non-profit sector will help. S/he should be ready to spend considerable time in the field in Uttar Pradesh and be comfortable working with field teams. Be familiar with the digital space and can advise on the deployment of new technologies in our projects. Be comfortable in Hindi and English. Strong interpersonal skills are a must and a sense of ownership too.

• B.Tech with MBA is the most preferred qualification requirement.
• Position reports to our Founder and Chief Scientist, and will have a strong interface with six Directors and one Senior Technical Adviser, apart from our CEO.
• Term of 6 to 9 months.
