Ground Recruitment is a Pty Ltd company established in July 2022. It exclusively provides highly specialised permanent recruitment services and high-performance coaching to geotechnical engineers, geologists and select clients across Australia and New Zealand.
This client is a well-known and respected employee-owned company with offices in New Zealand and Asia Pacific. They have a national team of around 130 people involved with many of New Zealand's iconic projects.
This company's Technical Director (Geotechnical Engineering) is based in the North Island and he is well known to the Director of Ground Recruitment as they previously worked in the same company for 5 years. He will be the initial contact for this position in Auckland.
To be put forward to the client for the position of Geotechnical Engineer, you will ideally be able to demonstrate that you have previous experience scoping and running small to medium-sized ground investigations. It would be best if you were building on your understanding of the local ground conditions, sampling collection methods, drilling techniques, logging, test pitting, lab scheduling, OH&S, proposal writing, project management, interpreting ground models, and report writing of technical memos, factual and interpretative reports. Exposure to construction support would be beneficial too.
From a design perspective, you should have had some exposure to software packages such as Plaxis 2d & 3d, Slide 2d, Settle 3d, CPet-IT, and Wallap and be able to explain your project involvement and your level of software proficiency.
