About Our Client

Our client is a respected civil and structural consultancy with a global presence across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and the UK. They are expanding their geotechnical capability in Western Australia and are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer with strong technical skills and approximately 5 years of experience to join their multidisciplinary team.

The Role

This is a technically focused position where you'll work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver innovative geotechnical design solutions. You'll receive guidance and support from senior engineers, allowing you to develop your technical expertise and contribute to high-impact projects. Unlike traditional roles, this position does not require external business development; your focus will be on technical delivery and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing geotechnical design solutions across diverse sectors and project types.
  • Contribute to preparing detailed design reports, specifications, and drawings.
  • Support scoping, costing, and coordination of geotechnical site investigations for larger design packages
  • Work under the guidance of senior engineers to ensure investigations comply with AS1726 standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and contractors.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Around 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
  • Strong technical expertise in foundation solutions (deep foundations, rafts, piled rafts).
  • Experience in retaining wall and slope design (embedded, gravity, anchored, stabilised, hybrid).
  • Proficiency in soil-structure interaction and geotechnical structural design.
  • Skilled in interpreting geotechnical parameters and producing comprehensive reports.
  • Exposure to construction phases, site investigations, temporary works, or construction support, with familiarity in AS1726 standards.
