  • To lead and perform advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of automation
  • systems across manufacturing and utility areas. The senior automation technician ensures high
  • system availability, supervises junior technicians, and contributes to compliance, system upgrades,
  • and continuous improvement while maintaining GMP, safety, and data integrity standards.
  • Environment
  • Internal and external interactions i.e.: with other departments/divisions, international scope,
  • providers, customers)
  • Internal: Manufacturing & production teams, quality assurance & validation, IT, EHS, and
  • projects team.
  • External: Automation vendors, OEMs, and system integrators, regulatory auditors/inspectors,
  • external service providers and contractors.

Key responsibility:

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and corrective maintenance for PLC, SCADA, DCS, BMS, and
  • EMS systems.
  • Lead preventive maintenance planning and execution.
  • Manage software backups, system configuration, and updates.
  • Participate in FAT, SAT, commissioning, IQ, OQ, and PQ activities.
  • Ensure automation systems comply with GMP, data integrity, and cybersecurity standards.
  • Lead RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and implement CAPA for automation-related issues.
  • Support training and development of junior technicians.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation (SOPs, reports, logs).
  • Coordinate with vendors for spare parts, upgrades, and services.
  • Academic experience required
  • Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Automation.
  • Knowledge of cGMP, GAMP5, and automation maintenance processes.
  • 5–8 years of professional experience in automation in GMP-regulated manufacturing.
  • Strong hands-on experience with PLC maintenance.
  • Experience with validation, documentation, and regulatory audits.
  • Experience with maintenance principles and KPIs.
  • Computing Skills
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power BI).
  • Familiarity with PLC software (Siemens) at a beginner level.
  • Good understanding of SCADA/HMI systems.
  • Good networking and industrial communication protocols knowledge.
