Job Objective

Refrigeration Supervisor Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair tasks for all Refrigeration Equipment in the manufacturing Site. This includes maintaining and troubleshooting all Refrigeration systems, included but not limited to, Chiller R1234-ze, Glycol, and CO2 (R744).

The technician will work to ensure that all equipment and systems are functioning efficiently and comply with industry standards and regulations.

Environment

Internal: GEPD management members, manufacturing, quality & service divisions.

External: In absence of Lead Refrigeration Engineer, equipment suppliers and vendors, Health Authorities, government authorities and auditors.

Key responsibility

Routine Maintenance:

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on Refrigeration system Equipment .
  • Well-versed in Chiller R1234-ze Refrigeration System.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Glycol Refrigeration System.
  • Proficient in CO2 (R744) Refrigeration System.
  • Experienced in Refrigerant Automation Systems.
  • Skilled in diagnosing and maintaining all the mentioned Refrigeration systems.
  • Knowledgeable in Insulation Panels.
  • Well-experienced in Isolated Doors and their Automation Systems.
  • Familiar with Plumbing systems and AC condensate management.
  • Adhere to safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and team support abilities.
  • Demonstrates ability to work under pressure.
  • Capable of working overtime and extra shifts as required.
  • Competent in reading Engineering drawings, P&ID, and wiring diagrams.
  • Holds certification in refrigeration or a related field.
  • Familiar with modern diagnostic tools and software for refrigeration system maintenance.
  • Ability to perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Experienced in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical components of refrigeration systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to train and guide junior technicians.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Inspect and test machinery and equipment to diagnose issues and ensure they are operating correctly.
  • Follow up on the stock of spare parts for Refrigeration Equipment

Corrective Maintenance:

  • Identify and repair mechanical and electrical faults in equipment and systems.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies to minimize downtime.
  • Replace or repair defective parts, using hand tools and power tools.
  • Use computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) such as SAP-PM to log maintenance activities and track equipment performance.

Compliance, Quality and Safety:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Conduct safety checks to identify potential hazards.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Refrigeration manager and other team members to coordinate maintenance activities.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

Leadership:

  • Provide leadership, coaching, monitoring and guidance for Refrigeration Technicians.

Academic experience required

  • Diploma or associate degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Certification in Refrigeration or relevant technical areas is a plus.

Professional Experience Required

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in refrigeration maintenance.
  • 8-10 years of professional experience in GMP facilities.
  • Expertise in maintaining refrigeration units, Refrigeration systems .

Computing Skills

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft office.
  • Familiarity in using maintenance management software systems (SAP PM or similar).

Personal Skills

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to Lead and coach the team of technicians
  • Proficiency in using maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
